This Privacy Policy explains how Algobit collects, uses, and shares your information when you use the Algobit mobile application (the "App").
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account data: first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, country.
- Profile preferences: display language, notification settings, theme (light / dark / auto).
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID) for attribution. You can reset or limit this in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
- Install referrer: install source (campaign, ad group, click ID) from Google Play Install Referrer API and Meta Install Referrer.
- Approximate geolocation: country derived from your IP address only — we do not collect precise GPS location.
- Device metadata: model, OS version, app version, locale.
- Usage events: screen views, taps on AI insights, paper-trading actions, registration steps. Used to improve the App and measure campaign performance.
- Crash logs: stack traces and device state when the App crashes (Firebase Crashlytics). No personal content from screens.
1.3 Paper-trading data
- Virtual portfolio: simulated balance, virtual orders, virtual positions, simulated profit/loss.
- All paper-trading activity uses virtual currency only. No real money is held, transferred, or invested through Algobit.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train third-party machine-learning models.
3. AI features
Algobit uses third-party large-language models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT) to generate educational market analysis. These calls contain only: - Asset symbol (e.g., "BTC") - Timeframe (e.g., "4h") - Public market data (prices, volume) - Display language
No personal identifiers (email, phone, AAID) are sent to LLM providers. LLM providers process inputs under their own privacy policies and do not retain content for model training (per Anthropic and OpenAI Enterprise API terms).
4. Sharing with third parties
We share your information with the following categories of recipients, only as needed:

We do not share your data with brokers, exchanges, or any party that would execute real trades on your behalf — Algobit is paper-trading only.
5. International data transfers
Algobit operates infrastructure in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Some processors are based in the US (Google, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic). For users in the EEA / UK / Switzerland, transfers rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and processor-specific Data Processing Addenda.

You can request earlier deletion at any time (see section 8).
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, scoped service accounts, MFA on admin accounts, principle of least privilege. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach materially affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours (GDPR Article 33).
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR — EEA/UK; CCPA — California; LGPD — Brazil; PDPA — Singapore), you have rights to:
- Access a copy of your personal data we hold
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase ("right to be forgotten") your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time (does not affect prior lawful processing)
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

9. Children
Algobit is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Trading-related content (even paper-trading) is restricted to adults under our Terms of Service.
10. Availability
Algobit is distributed globally through Google Play. Users are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding educational financial-market content. Where local law prohibits a specific feature (e.g. educational simulations involving cryptocurrency), users must refrain from using that feature.
11. Risk disclosure
Algobit provides educational content and risk-free simulation only. Nothing in the App is investment advice, a buy/sell recommendation, or a solicitation to trade. Past performance shown in AI analysis or strategy backtests does not guarantee future results. Real-money trading on any third-party platform you reach through Algobit (if any) carries substantial risk of loss; consult a licensed financial adviser before depositing funds anywhere.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
The App does not use web cookies. We use Android system identifiers (AAID, App Set ID) and on-device storage (SharedPreferences, Room database) only for the purposes described above.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app and via the email on your account at least 14 days before taking effect. The latest version is always at https://algobit.app/privacy with a clear "Effective date" at the top.
